My body has responded to my dedication to staying in the following ways.
- This is going to sound weird but I can feel my body activate when I walk. My core is engaged and it just feels easier, like my body is working better, more efficiently.
- My body still works in this efficient manner when I’m tired, when I’m exhausted even. I feel tired yes, but my body doesn’t want to shut down. It still operates normally.
- Range of motion is greatly increased. Flexibility, due to extended stretching sessions five days per week, is noticeably improved. Like I said, walking is easier, certain stationary positions no longer are painful and my overall posture is better.
There are many other smaller effects, some of them more a feeling rather than a physical effect on my body, making them hard to explain. All I know is that I feel better both physically as I regain my strength after injury; and mentally as I work on the completion of my manuscript.
