Tales of the Wandering Scribe is a three-part series of novellas. Thangelos the scribe travels with a different character in each volume, recording their adventures.
In Book One, he accompanies Novela (name choice explained in story), a twenty-year-old noblewoman of Elvare Estate. She is a comely young woman, desperate to break away from the stifling identity of her lineage, if only for a brief time. She enlists Thangelos to accompany her to the La Fiera delle Ombre (The Fair of Shadows) and record the adventure. With silk ribbons, shadow scripts, a wagon race and much more, Novela will discover parts of herself that were dormant, suffocated by gentility. Her ultimate test awaits in the swamp on the journey home, where heritage and danger converge, and Novela must choose who she really is.
Book Two follows Seraine, the assassin. Book Three follows Caelir, the mysterious boy.
