I am a Human, Being

Human

I am a human, being. I’m stuck in a three-dimensional existence. All the cool stuff, such as time, entanglement, and black holes is in other dimensions. Because of this, humans will never fully comprehend these concepts. If time really is the fourth dimension, as quantum physics suggests, then it is impossible for us, as three-dimensional beings, to grasp it. I can’t lift these letters off my 2D screen, nor can I time travel in 4D. I’m not saying that humans will never evolve these abilities. But for this to be possible, our brains would need to evolve past their current capabilities. Time travel would require a level of consciousness that we do not currently possess. To reach that level, our brains would have to evolve into a physical structure so radically different that we would no longer be Homo sapiens. The current definition of the species would no longer be accurate.

Please understand that I am not presenting these musings as fact, as I am no astrophysicist. I am fascinated by quantum theories but have barely scratched the surface of their many fields. I am only sharing what feels right to me based on what I have learned, without academic training.

The simulation theory is one that stays with me. I will not go into detail as it is extremely complicated, however here’s my personal opinion.

We are part of a fully immersive three-dimensional simulation that is being run by our “creator”, which is nothing more than an advanced human species. It’s possible that we are actually a simulation inside of countless other simulations that have gained sentience.

This sounds absurd, and mentioning it to people has gotten me some concerned looks. I urge you to look into the double slit experiment, which proves that nothing exists until it is observed. This single experiment shattered my already limited understanding of reality. If observation creates reality, then our only purpose is to entertain and validate the existence of those who run the simulation. And if this is true, then the weight we put on everything we do doesn’t matter in the grand scheme. The holographic universe theory is even more mind bending. It builds on simulation theory but adds a more intimate twist:

We are part of a fully immersive three-dimensional simulation in which everything, including us, is a hologram projected by consciousness itself.

It’s another fantastic theory that is difficult to comprehend and even harder to accept. But accepting either of them feels counterintuitive, even in the face of empirical evidence. To accept one as true, we’d have to deconstruct the concepts of good and bad, dissolve the ego and embrace a collective consciousness that sees perfection in everything.

Being

And yet, in a world conditioned to chase speed, status, and distraction, this kind of presence feels unreachable. We are taught to prioritize the self over the species, gratification over growth, and illusion over truth. Nature has become a disposable backdrop to our digital lives.

Whatever the purpose of human life may be, we must embrace and appreciate every moment. Every thought, every decision, every encounter carries weight. Even the painful ones. In fact, those may be the most important, because they linger, shape us, and reveal more to us over time.

We are a fascinating creation. We are more aware than any other species we have encountered so far. I love learning and pondering about our existence. Time. Space. Humanity. Consciousness. Every aspect of it is captivating. I hope that someday we are able to evolve, are able to discover these secrets of existence. Even if I’m not here on Earth, it would be a great advancement for the species…or maybe its ultimate detriment.
